The Still Going Project is a Scottish Government funded research project which aims to find out what helps people aged 50 and over across Scotland stay active, healthy and independent for longer in later life
We are using the free LifeCurve ™ App which will give you information and advice about how to do this.
If you are aged 50, 60, 70, 80 or older, we want YOU to take part. It’s never too early or too late to start! We need as many people as possible to take part in the research.
During the COVID-19 pandemic many of us spent more time at home - due to lockdown measures, self isolating, shielding or working from home. This means many of us haven't been as active as we normally would be - even with a daily walk. We know that the effects of not being active have a significant impact on our physical and mental health. For those of us with long term health conditions and/or who are in our 70's and over the effects are often much worse. Keeping our muscles in shape helps to stay strong and active as well as feeling more positive and mentally well. And now, planning ahead for autumn and winter is really important too - keeping physically active will help you keep steady and strong on your feet. The activities and advice in the App can help you with this. Remember, we are still living with COVID-19 so always follow Scottish Government guidance (see link below). More advice about physical activity can be found in this Paths for All link: https://www.pathsforall.o
